After an early breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a 2-6 hour gorilla trek through the rainforest, depending on the gorilla group’s location. In the afternoon, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, a 12-acre conservation facility showcasing sustainable architecture and offering state-of-the-art labs, a scientific library, and educational programs to inspire gorilla conservation efforts.
